This weekend there was this very special musical in a church in my town. My eldest daughter sung a duet with another girl. The whole musical was an awesome event. There is always great emotion and very much fun. It was the first time I was asked to do the videoproduction. I recorded the entire musical and separately recorded the sound put out by the mixer with my MD-recorder. That was the best choice ever!!! The sound from the mics of the singers was so much better than the one recorded by the camera. I will mix it together in postprocessing on my notebook. But the soundtrack is very great even if it’s a mono-recording (just meaning it is not in stereo). I hope the guys envolved in the musical do like my work on video and audio. I tell you the results …

I have exams at university at the 3rd, 10th and 12th of march. So I'm a bit busy with this stuff at the moment. I have to slow down my speed at kompoz and concentrate on learning ... but I will surely be back after that!

Well ... I've done it! I never thought of it but finally it was such a fun I just did it.

'tween the last and this posting should be more than just a few minutes, but I did the last one long after I started here. So don't mind! :-)

The Advert all over Kompoz lead me to the need of contributing something to the SLOW RiDE contest thing. When I listend to the track the first time it was clear to me, that it needs some more speed -- in my opinion!!!! So I took the samples and threw them into my software. I made a new drum track, did my own bass and replaced the organs with vst synths.

First track was a little bit to thin, so I took an EQ and pushed it. It still no professional recording, but it fits my needs.

There is still some time to the closure of the contest and I'm thinking about doing a vocal track. We will see ... :-)
