With no recording contract, on October 10th, Radiohead release their new album "In Rainbows". How much will it cost the fans ? Looks like it's up to the fans themselves. Pay what you want for the download. Is this the future of music sales for "indie" bands ? Read the story from NME:

The importance of Dynamic Range and why

As my first blog posting, I thought I'd make it short and informative as possible. Trawling through the usual collaboration sites I frequently visit, I did find a little gem that should help us here on Kompoz. With a dynamic range of around 96db available to us in this digital age, we need to appreciate how to exploit that range most effectively - from tracking at the right levels, through to mixing down to a lively "dynamic" enjoyable listening experience.
