I'm prompted to enter "a long description and details" about this group otherwise I'm not allowed to actually create it. So, where shall I begin? I was born in Savannah, Ga. on June 18 of 1967. Some call that particular summer the "summer of love." I call it the summer I was born. Oh sure, on occasion I've mentioned that "I was born during the 'Summer of Love'" but only when I was trying to be a little dramatic. I'm not sure my parents had specifically intended for me to be born that summer but who knows. I guess I should probably ask them. It'd be easy enough, hell I just talked to Mom and Dad today but I didn't talk about being born in June of '67. Most of the conversation was actually about how I finally unclogged the side of the sink with the garbage disposal and how truly (and I mean truly) disgusting a job it was. The sink had been full of backed up food water since Wednesday night when the wife and kids went out of town. I didn't actually notice it until the next day and decided I'd better wait for that dirty garbage water to dissipate before I underwent undoing the hose under the sink and finding the clog. Of course I waited until today (Sunday) to finally do it and when I took off that hose underneath the sink---man... The only thing I can liken the stench to would be to a decomposing carcass mixed with sh*t. But it wasn't either of things, it was onion peelings. Onion peelings that had gone into the beef stew that Wednesday evening. The beef stew which, while I was assured otherwise, had lamb mixed in with the beef, I could taste it. You see, I don't like lamb. I've had it several times and really do know that I just don't particularly enjoy the taste of it. The thing is though, I don't know if it was the way it was prepared that evening or what spices or seasonings or whatever were used in that beef (and lamb) stew but I actually liked it. I was surprised that I actually like it and in fact, I think it wasn't a bad idea to put the lamb in with the beef in the stew. It wasn't my idea for that lamb to end up in the stew, however- it was still apparently a pretty good idea that someone else thought of. Which brings us here to the description of this group. What a great idea huh? You know, this whole "let's upload tracks that we can get our friends to jam to all around the country. Anything they wanna put down! Then send them back and we can add to it what we want and it'll be just like we were getting together and jamming except without all the beer and Scotch." Wish I'd thought of it.
