| Overview |
More of a standard rock tune...I've done a lot on it, but I need help getting it finished. Maybe this is asking too much, maybe people just wanna do their own thing; if so, please do! However, here's what I see it still needing:
- NEW DRUMS. This track is mono and bumps galore, it's a rough track a buddy put down for me on his Pearl kit with one microphone - really needs someone who can help capture the shifts during the second half of the verses, especially the Arab-ish lead at 1min13...love to have the right percussion here!
- PEOPLE WHO CAN SING (and sing fast - the lyrics are quick). It's a dark song, ideally someone who has the power to put some edge into the lyrics. Definitely need someone(s) who is good at building choral arrangements for the bridge at 1 min 39...love to have a bunch of voices climb here, but I'm at a loss on how to do it (and haven't the range to try).
- THE BRIDGE - trying to find the right atonal characteristics, but I may have overdone it here. Need ideas, suggestions, recommendations.
- THE BASS - it's OK I think - except it's done with an electric guitar/octaver, so it's pretty poor when listening to it alone! I don't think like a bassist, so I don't write stuff like one. I tried to keep it busy where there's room for it to take the fore and step it down where other things are going on. I'm game to have something different, I'm not hooked on what I put in.
- KEYBOARD - I wouldn't know where to begin, but someone who is good at adding a touch of synth to give it some resonance here and there.....might be cool....please give it a shot!
- ARRANGEMENT AND MIXING SUGGESTIONS. I'm just starting to get the hang of keeping things dynamic, dropping things down a notch and picking it back up....but I'm a complete neophyte. Recommendations appreciated!
