| Overview |
All stem tracks for Metastasis as they are today (9 July, 2012) have been uploaded into the "Other" category in 24-bit AIFF format. With the recent "facelifts" to Kompoz, I'm having trouble figuring out how to sort these new stems into the "Ready For Mixing" folder, but it doesn't really matter. Every track in the "Other" category are all meant for this purpose so you can easily just click "Other" on the left to filter for these tracks then use to top check box to select all 40+ tracks available.
There is also a downmix track (not in Other) that has been uploaded but has not been mastered. If you take all the stems I have uploaded today and toss them into any DAW with no other modifications made by you at the mixer or EQ, etc., your downmix should come out sounding the same as this uncompressed/unmastered downmix (found in the mixdown category, not featured). It can be used as a reference or you can experiment with simply mastering this downmix if you'd like (and save yourself the trouble of downloading all these stems if that suits you).
I plan to not move any further on the production of this track, at least until after I've gotten myself setup with some good monitors in an acoustically treated room. In the interim feel free to do whatever you'd like with this track. If it comes to a head that a downmix appears worthy of a release and is agreed upon by all involved in the project thus far, I'll gladly publish the track on Kompoz.
