Better mix...

This is excellent. I like both the lead work and the rhythm stuff. I think the rhythm should return in the last section.

If we could get your seps, and Hernan's lead sep, a new drumless track, Cory's retracking...this will be a most awesome piece.

I agree with Marty here.

I am also liking Hernan's rhythm part in the section that starts around 3:10 through 3:37. It is cool with the jazzy tone but I wondered what it would sound like with a more rockish tone, you know the nasty-ness factor, a little funk dirt.

Would Hernan's rhythm part work elsewhere in the piece combined with Jeff's parts?

Now that I think about it Hernan's rhythm part with it's current tone might bring in a very interesting underlay for Jeff's lead.

You know more of the mixed genre thing.

Pete, if you want to do a test, i prefer to play and record a new rhythm gtr for Jeff lead instead of "cut and paste". But i think it sounds great with Marty saxes. Just let me know if you want me to do that.

Jeff. Nice guitar playing man. Have you been using the Les Paul on most of this material? Do you mic a cab or use plug ins? You just blow me away with this great tone everytime.

Agreed. 3:10 through 3:37 on Hernans piece as Pete said sounds really good to me too.

Once that second solo is in place I will re do drums. :)

@Cory: I alternate between a Strat or a Paul depending on my mood. This was done on the Paul but I probably use my Strat more. All the guitar tones are Line 6 plugins. Even the wah is a sim.

I think it will be interesting to hear this on top of Hernan's rhythm. If that does not work I'm sure Hernan and I can come up with something that will. I really like his track too. I could try some noodlin' on top of it.
