This is to illustrate what I meant by a drastic shift in the feel starting at 2;24 and throughout Hernan's solo. One of the drummers on this project (not naming any names, Cory) could probably do this better than me.

How hard would it be to just track that one section and cut it in? There are breaks right before and after.

Ha. Shooting video too so I'll play it through. I may bitch but it just gets tighter everytime I play it. I already had it in the can and shot then you posted this. Its all good cause I think it will work. It breaks the tension and features another solo.

I am liking this.
I am thinking the section with Hernan needs something.
A horn section in that style coming in right around 3:06?
Jazz Piano?
Working on some piano, nothing yet, not sure I can execute the way I hear it.

I've listened to this a few times now and I like it more every time. I like Hernan's style and phrasing. Does it need transition part in front of it so it doesn't drop off so abruptly?

I personally like abrupt changes, if it can be made to sound like the whole band MEANT to do it. I think the drummer will be the key to pulling it off.
I'll get a new drumless up this evening.

I agree Jeff, I like it more each time I hear it as well.
For me that is a good sign cause I get bored quickly so something that continues to perk my interest is good.
Marty, great observation.
Go Cory.

Lets see how it feels. I will see if I can smooth that transition out Jeff I usually play back in the pocket a bit. It sounds a bit rushed to me. I can fix it by layin the beat back during that section. As far as Hernans solo. I will probably improvise over it.
Yeah this tune is gonna rip.
