Quick vocal scratch for 1st half of song. Would normally use different mic technique and track loud and soft parts separately. Voice is scratchy and strained a bit.
This is for feedback. Do loud parts an octave higher impart energy or decrease beauty of song? Too much vibrato? More full voice or whisper voice.
The song details a father (me) finding hope and inspiration through the love for his young daughter during these uncertain global times. Lyrics below.
TOGETHER WE MARCH ON
Morning comes, your smile's my sunshine
Rays of hope, like rainbows in May
The sparkle in your eyes it gives me hope
that in this crazy world we will all be ok
Hard days at work, too long since I've held you
because a kiss goodnight gets me through the day
We'll keep you safe and warm and protected
So when you fly from our nest you can do the same
One day you will find what makes the difference
is love, hope and enjoying today
Together we march on living life the whole way
You're my warm and lovely, snuggly cozy lil' sweet pea
And I promise I'll be strong when you need me to be
Reach out, take my hand we got a whole wide world to see
