Up with the larks this morning to throw a v1 mix with all vocals. Thanks so much Steph and Dani for adding to this. Works a treat! A 37 track mix of full cream Kompoz goodness....

Where as I wasn't up with the larks and my eyes can just about focus currently, need another coffee. Yes just got up. WOW weee what a pleasant supprise Tim I did not expect that this morning. If I say so myself sounds absolutely first bloomin class mate, what a mix. Thanks Slyder the comments mean a lot and really do make it all worthwhile. Don't think we can call this a low fat mix my any stretch Tim, thankyou so much and to the girls, well they just simply rock, outstanding. I am buzzin.

ecopunk   ecopunk on Mon, Oct 31, 2011 @ 11:27 AM UTC

Thanks Lee and Joel,

As I already had a solid 'Lee only' mix and had edited and added Steph last night, it was just a matter of slotting Dani into place. I thought I would post it as a working mix, to get opinion etc as I ususally only do a final mix after a lot of careful listening, but after looping it continuously this morning I am not sure if this mix might stand the test of time....

Huge thanks to all of you....

Grats on the exposure... well deserved!

ecopunk   ecopunk on Thu, Jan 19, 2012 @ 08:06 PM UTC

Nice one, thanks to Steve for including us! Steph, you came out of that really well! Brilliant bit of plugging for you and all on Kompoz. Poor Lee though, when Sanger was pushed at the end he says I did lead vocals! If only! You really wouldn't want to hear that... Anyone looking at this track as a result of the radio show, please note lead vocals are 100% Lee Sharp!

sanger   sanger on Thu, Jan 19, 2012 @ 08:10 PM UTC

You two look so much alike, I get confused - whoops!

ecopunk   ecopunk on Thu, Jan 19, 2012 @ 08:11 PM UTC

Hey, we'll forgive you anything, thanks for the airtime!

stephborel   stephborel on Thu, Jan 19, 2012 @ 09:51 PM UTC

Yes, steve definitely hooked it up! :) For which i am more than grateful

leesharp   leesharp on Fri, Jan 20, 2012 @ 01:31 AM UTC

Ha ha this is how you repay me. Great show Steve and thanks for dropping us in there. You are so right, it is down to Kompoz and its great members only that I have more confidence to try vocals and in this a lead attempt too... blimey, I would not have gone near a main vocal a few months back. Lyrics by Joel Sattlersongs and myself. Steph nice one you deserve it.

  joel_sattlersongs   joel_sattlersongs on Fri, Jan 20, 2012 @ 01:42 AM UTC

You done good.

SongAid   SongAid on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 @ 11:47 AM UTC

Just heard this for the first time. Good sound. The tone of the vocals really enhances the music and vice-versa. The sound is very pleasing.

I would have edited the Robot track and the ARP track so that they're not continuous, however. I feel the song would jump out more if it had more of a dynamic of an 80s song rather than the monotonous drone of a 90s-present song.

I must apologize if suggestions like this are not warranted on songs labelled as "finished" here at Kompoz. I'm relatively new here and may be unfamiliar with certain etiquette.

I am of the personal belief that a song is never finished until it's a #1 Hit! Also I have no problem with naming later versions of my private pieces with the suffixes 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

The journey (of everything) never ends.

  joel_sattlersongs   joel_sattlersongs on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 @ 11:58 AM UTC

SongAid:

I worried about the "etiquette" when I first got here,
but you need not be worried.

Just because a song is "finished" doesn't mean you can't make suggestions.

There's even a "new" version of this recently posted:

On Kompoz,
anything goes.

27....:-(

ecopunk   ecopunk on Wed, Apr 18, 2012 @ 12:12 PM UTC

Yes, 9,421 plays is cool - but have a look at the downloads - that is a pretty good indicator of success here me thinks. The ipod quotient!

Anton, this track got 1 download for every 261 plays. You got 1 already with only 27 plays! Congratulations. A great remix!
