So many kids are trying to pass this off as theirs

No kidding??? really? That's no secret.. and I never said this was my composition. I did change the arrangement and I WOULD like to have the parts all replaced by Kompozers.. (That's why the other mixes are posted). This is intended as a guide, NOT as a finished piece. Since I don't play drums, or piano, or horns, or bass I do use some of the tracks from GB as starting points (as I suspect others do as well). Sorry if I offended but my comment to Ben was a joke, since he knows all this already. (as would anyone who had asked). Since you joined just 12 days ago I guess it's unreasonable to expect you to realize this. But thanks for clarifying.
I have added more to the project description so maybe others won't be "fooled".
It's a shame kids in New Zealand are passing off packaged music as there own.. why would anyone do that?
Now that we've cleared up the big mystery, why don't you add a track?

I don't know anyone passing off packaged music in NZ. My bad if I offended you. It was not intended.

I'm sure I'm not alone on being reluctant to upload my more important comps on this site; even more so when one has to pay to keep them partially protected. So I'm still checking things out before taking the plunge - so to speak.

Oh, well I was referring to "So many kids are trying to pass this off as theirs". I've never run into that issue so I assumed you meant in NZ.
If you have important comps that are complete, then why post them on Kompoz? If you are looking for additional tracks, it seems hard to get them anywhere for free.
If you have not established copyrights to your songs and you need them to be protected then posting them on Kompoz does present a potential hazard unless you use Private Projects. Everything up here is CC and is available to anyone for any use they choose. Their only obligation is to attribute the material to the owner. That's the price for an open forum.

I'll put one in from Billy's corner...he's been here a while and he has done projects where it was totally from the ground up...
you call it packaged music..but it is free to use..and this isn't a cover...the impetus is the important thing..the initial push..how about seeing it as a nice challaenge..to replace the current parts with real instruments and make it as good or better?

@billy:

"Everything up here is CC and is available to anyone for any use they choose. Their only obligation is to attribute the material to the owner. That's the price for an open forum."

This is only really so for BY licenses projects.

For BY-NC based ones you can't use them commercially.

For BY-SA licensed ones, you can do a whole lot but you cannot change the license on the project or derivatives of the project including using in non-BY-SA films / movies.

Thanks Ben and Drew. I thought someone would assist with specifics Drew. I find it hard to remember all the details.

I sometimes think copyright law is designed to make it hard for us to remember the details...
