See Jeff, told you I would be butchering it up. Mainly the chorus being different.

I love it Dan! Very cool. The added chorus sections are great. Nice break in the flow. I like how you matched the tone too.

I see Homer is wearing the colors too, nice touch.

Yeah, I tried for a while to get the tone the same. Glad you like that. Now we need to get some guitar. Any suggestions to invite anyone?

Mark Henebury (MHenebury) is a very versitile guitarist and really grasps cpncepts when the project owner know what he wants.

Nice bass Jeff! Once again, you surprise me.

Thanks guys. Dont forget that Dan played the added choruses and made the arrangement dynamic. He had a vision for the concept as soon as he heard it.

Be there room for a humble little guitar player from Canada?

lifeguardlloyd   lifeguardlloyd on Sun, Apr 29, 2012 @ 04:21 AM UTC

And if there be room, be there chord charts?

  DantheMan2   DantheMan2 on Sun, Apr 29, 2012 @ 11:05 AM UTC

Yes please! I did put an invite out to Mark and he said he would try something Sunday. But go ahead.

MHenebury   MHenebury on Sun, Apr 29, 2012 @ 12:01 PM UTC

I've just uploaded my ideas but kept big gaps - I saw Lifeguardlloyd's message above so there's plenty of room.

This is cool Dan, I like. I was playing around with a few ideas on my way to work this morning, give me a few days as I have some homework to get out of the way, ugh!

  DantheMan2   DantheMan2 on Wed, Aug 8, 2012 @ 01:38 AM UTC

Sweet. Thanks. We will get this one flying pretty soon.

Okay Dan, I can't say I'm completely happy with this, so use it, lose it, change it, modify it ... whatever :). Just an idea for you to work with. I don't know what you want for a bridge!!

Rained Out
By Casia

(V1)
I've got no where to go, oh
Another Saturday night
The rain is pouring down some
No where to hide my soul
The sun was shining
When I left home
When did first base
Become a hole

(Chorus)
I've tried everything
To turn my crazy life around
I thought, this game I'd win (I keep getting rained out)
This is how my life has been (In front of this big crowd)

(V2)
Batter up or batten down
I'm reaching beyond the storm
There's a call that's meant for me
If only I could see
The umpire shouts
Three strikes I'm out
Now they all know, owww
What I'm about

(Chorus)
I've tried everything
To turn my crazy life around
I keep getting rained out
In front of this big crowd
Yeah ... Yeah
In front of this big crowd
I keep getting rained out
In front of this big crowd

(Bridge)
I just want a ballgame
Buy peanuts and crackerjacks
Take a chance on
A winnin' streak
And, never look back

(Outro)
I've tried everything
To turn my crazy life around
I've tried everything
To climb far beyond the cloud
I've tried everything
To turn my crazy life around
To turn my crazy life around

I just want peanuts and crackerjacks
Oh, I just want ... my damn life back

wow...!!! Love the lyrics! wooooooo hooooooooooooo!!

  DantheMan2   DantheMan2 on Wed, Aug 8, 2012 @ 06:05 PM UTC

this is awesome! I can't believe it. Just like the Paris one, I have the idea for singing/melody for this tune as I was making the music, but I hope Christina will sing whatever (hers or mine). I will send a rough track if I can fit the words. I have some lyrics too, but this idea is more complete and brilliant.

Also, I was just looking at "I Dunno". I totally have a song for that playing in my head, but it sounds like Death Cab for Cutie or Owl City (pop stuff). My brain is writing checks for songs that my body can't cash. Maybe after a while. I need to get back to this and Paris.

Thank you!

hehe, you make me smile....haha....Awesome!! yesssssssssssssssssssss I will ;)

  Casia-Lyricist   Casia-Lyricist on Wed, Aug 8, 2012 @ 06:49 PM UTC

Okay cool, we'll see how it sounds when it's sung. I changed a word in the lyric above, very important haha. "the umpire shouts". It rhymes better with out and I've already used the word call.

"I Dunno", my five minute lyric last night, taking a breather from writing my essay, but I'm done now woohoo and I just have to study now. It's rather silly but could be cool with the right music. But yeah, let's get Paris and this one done first.

I made an alternative choice in verse 1 as well.

SLV   SLV on Wed, Aug 8, 2012 @ 08:50 PM UTC

This lyric if super fantastic! I love it. It really expresses what I was feeling when I made the initial bass line A baseball analogy for life.

Very very cool.

  Casia-Lyricist   Casia-Lyricist on Wed, Aug 8, 2012 @ 10:01 PM UTC

I'm glad you like it SLV, thank you. Look forward to where this goes.

@Dan, a few more edits. I see from the overview you wanted a double chorus so I've added something, don't know if you can make if fit but it adds repetition and we can change the title now to "Rained Out"

I also added a line at the very end if you want. I promise not to mess around any more, at least until it's sung :):)

Thank you Casia! I will check it out in more detail later tonight.
