This is the same as the previous mix up until the bridge in which I spliced in Ben's guitar idea 2, then part of 2a a few bars after the bridge.

To me, this makes a big difference as the bridge is now unique to the rest of the song. Before, the bass and drums changed at the bridge, but the guitar jam seemed to continue through.

Works for me.

Sounds good. I like the edits you made. To my ear Kens solos are a bit back in the mix. Ben's R. Gtr sits a bit out front during his solo sections.

from the guitar perspective, I've been thinking about it and have noticed that while i've been collaborating on this project ive felt a little frustrated and overwhelmed with things and i don't tell you about my ideas because i'm worried about upsetting you.....i'm going to ask respectfully, both to my collaborators and myself, that we stop and take stock, i know it'll be a change for you but i really think its fair.
Of course its your project jeff, but i think i'd feel better about myself and do a better job if my ideas are considered too.
.my favourite part of kens is the main riff, that 14-note figure that plays at the beginning..that flow well to me and gives melody which sits nicely as a foil to my syncopated guitar..nice as it is in and of itself, the solo from 1:42 to 3.06 is too much imo at this stage...it creates a kind of tower when the castle wall is not fully built.
i realise ken added his parts as a semi improvised part and uploaded his seps as were but then you took them wholesale...what about stripping this back a little and building up with another, more rhythmical layer instead of the solo?
in my idea 2 you can hear what i'm proposing..i took ken's riff and repeated it more along the length of the song, kept the stuff he did before 1:42, the flourishes and accents etc. and left the solo out. it creates more clarity and space at this stage imo. what about a vocal - or do you propose an instrumental piece?

Ben,
There is no reason to hold back on ideas for the project. I hear what you are saying about the guitar parts. I am at a conference all week with customers and won't be alb;e to do anything with this until the weekend. The seps are all there if you want to put some sample ideas up.

I actually got one of them to sign up for Kompoz but he never did anything with his account. Incredible piano player and song writer.
