New thing with Ben on piano. I have a couple of ideas for guitar which I'll add tomorrow. This arrangement might need an adjustment here or there but should fit the lyrics now.

sounding nice to me overall pete...do yyou mind if i try a guitar idea with this too? are you going to sing wanda?
its a bit weird at the beginning (first 20seconds with the ee-oh sounds.....like vangelis is having a mental breakdown :) is it meantto create disorientation? have you put your rockier idea on the back burner for now?
...i like the way those 16th hats fit with my piano idea and the drum sound you have....actually if you want to fuck around with the piano i ended up putting it through guitar rig by accident and it came out with that chimey sound like you hear in my idea 2..
another idea ...to create a bit more light and shade..how about taking more instruments out of the mix at points..maybe the middle part?

No, I won't be doing vocals. Pete was working on some vocals and guitar last night, as well as tweaking the structure a little.
Yeah, set the original idea to the back and run with this.
Disorientation, eerie, mysterious...all fit in with what the night time can bring bwahahaha :P

Yeah the arrangement has changed a bit even since this version.. I was just posting to show the direction change. (which was supposed to be more towards your idea... I'll save mine for something else).
I was still thinking of putting in some heavy sounding guitar, but only if I can get it to fit. I had some other ideas for guitar too. I'll have it all done today anyway.. so it's probably best to hold off on any further contributions just until I have it re-uploaded with the new structure. I think the arrangement wraps around the lyrics quite nicely now. :)

This track in an old version, the structure and composition has changed so hold off on anything please.
I know Pete puts a great deal of effort in to Kompoz work and the piece is really growing on me and the direction he is heading with it, so I want to give some time for him to polish his contribution.

just to clarify...if i was to come up with any other ideas..new ones from scratch not using pete's work..how do you feel about that?

Do as you will, this is what Kompoz is all about...bearing in mind that I like where it is and where it is going.
Thanks

I get the sense you are gently pushing my involvement away here...i understand..i too would be protective if someone i hadn't worked with before tried to come in with new ideas...
granted what you've said about pete's efforts and you've been gracious about taking on board my piano idea but i'd like you tell me where i stand re collaborating with you and pete, is that possible? ...am i stepping on any toes that i don't know about please? i see you've worked together before. I'd like us to communicate well and i'm keen to use my time and energy (and yours) judiciously so would like to avoid as many snags as possible.

Yes Pete and I have worked together, we are actually a husband and wife team.
Sorry if that was unclear, I just took for granted you knew.
Of course collaboration is wanted, that is why the project has taken a different direction to what I envisioned and has been built to accommodate the piano idea.
It is just that de-constructing it at this stage in my opinion is not the right approach, especially when vocals are already being worked on.
It is your time that I was trying to be mindful of. I was thinking when the new track is uplaoded you will be able to review the new format and see what you can add to it after this.
I hope that all makes sense.

We can always work on 2 separate versions of the same song, either as different publishes or different projects (ie: someone start a new one with a similar name). Different projects is probably better to keep everything separated and organised. Just a suggestion. :)

I think the lyrics to this song are very powerful, it's no wonder they have invoked such passion! Woo, you should be very proud of your work ;)

H & W....the he and she of a perfect orange?....oh right!... haha...i get the sense you have worked together before...call me Holmes. so what we're witnessing is an online love letter between the two of you...that makes me a gooseberry .:) hang on are you in the same room when you type these comments to each other?! ...i like it!
I'm cool with it as long as i'm not called on as a marriage guidance councellor. i will repsect the sanctity of your union.
may i know the lenfth of your marriage....if you are fully in the first flush of romance then i haven't got a chance but if you are approaching the 7 year itch then i can capitilise on the fact that you may be throwing plates at each other before this project is through and my ideas might just get sneaked in :)

Orange...never heard it referred to that before haha And yes in the same room, but try to post separately to try to keep that inclusion thing happening to avoid the feeling of someone 'being left out of the loop'...if you know what I mean?
hmmm as far as lyrics, what you see that I have done here is it, I have not done anything before...and no this is not an online love letter...or maybe it is ^.^
Vocals have been laid down and uploaded shortly with the revised arrangement to fit the lyrics.

ah...only just read your last line properly...lol...have a listen to when the new tracks come up ;)
Until then, unfortunately you are running at a bit of a disadvantage because you are not listening to the same piece as us.
Like Pete suggested, I am not opposed to another version being created either.
