yeah it'll be a bit his studio is in transition.
but he's good enough to wait for.
I also have a amp direct recording box coming which should improve my guitar tone.
and some acoustic guitar and banjo.
this thing is gonna be heavily produced.

The file is HUGE, but it still sounds like 128kbps MP3. It really doesn't matter what your sample rate and your bitrate is, kompoz encodes WAV for playback at 128kbps MP3. Your mixes will sound better uploaded at a high-bitrate MP3 (192 or better) in the kompoz player than anything in WAV, because when you upload MP3, kompoz does not re-encode it.
I'm certainly not spending an hour downloading 168MB to see how much better it sounds in WAV... just saying. The mix really does sound good, it would sound better at a higher bitrate.
I have been following this project... just curious, would harmonica be appropriate?

su have expressed interest in doing multiple versions of this song. longhairdave is doing banjo guitar and piano that will be put into two versions of the track. post it here and I will put it in the second version. when all the pieces are in place I plan on publishing both projects.
I didn't know kompoz converted waves for playback online. so it will only be 24 bit wav if downloaded.
it's also funny that every one thinks the mix is great I did nothing to the steel but drop it in I did have a ssl compressor and a bbe harmonic maximizer on the master fader though.

Yeah, WAV is great for seps, but as a general rule, I never feature a WAV mixdown because of the kompoz default encoding rate. If it's going to CD, I usually provide an MP3 for online playback and a 16/44.1 WAV for burning to CD.
If it were not so blasted hot in my shed, I might have been on this sooner. I had envisioned using the harp for fills and such, but the slide steel guitar here already does an awesome job of that.
