Lyrics

I've built a car from what I've found
along the hiway as I was bound
there she sits a real rat rod
built from scratch right from the ground

It's more like a vehicle I guess you'd say
I never saw a car was built this way
a bunch of spare parts that we could see
along the hiway my bike and me

My hiway car
I don't drive too far
don't even care to go in
my hiway car

Bolts and suspension were an easy find
and brakes and mirrors and bits of twine
the frame was hard I pulled it up by force
from the cliff by the lake up north

I used some duct tape just here and there
to plug the cracks and stop the air
we found those seats out under a tree
when we were riding my bike and me
