Kompoz Radio: September 2009

It's back. The Kompoz Podcast Radio Show. Back! Back after a very short (not overly long) hiatus. Hosted by Matt ("I Hate Recording") Kresling, this show features more bytes (over 65,573,882 of 'em) and more seconds (4,098 of 'em) than any other Kompoz podcast in the history of Kompoz podcasts. Matt premiers new segments, including "Kompoz Interview", and "Tales of Kompoz" -- not to be missed. There's also an interview with me and Roger McGuinn about the current kontest and the FolkDen.

I find it interesting that Matt owns a tape answering machine. Can you still by those things?

Absolutely wonderful show, Matt! Good music mix and a healthy dose of humor. Now, tell us, why are you never caught on picture laughing when you are heard several times during the cast? Thank you also for running my voice through the X2010 Swedefier Deluxe in order to obfuscate my perfect Californian accent and make me sound more international :)

Good work!

Rock On

Hey, Matt. For someone who hates recording so much, you sure put a lot of work into this podcast. Nice Job. You were probably miserable the whole time, right?

Lonnie
Lonnie on Sat, Sep 12, 2009 @ 02:57 PM UTC

We definately need more podcasts! Half of what you played I had never heard, how'd you do that?

Ben, if it's the last thing I do I wanna go pub crawling with you.

I thought you said I was in this Matt.. wow.. tossed in the circular file on the edit room (closet) floor..
:)
you know how I really feel.. great work.

kresling on Sat, Sep 12, 2009 @ 07:02 PM UTC

Thanks, everyone. The laughter is from a sound effects record. It would be annoying if I really laughed that much.

Brannon
Brannon on Sat, Sep 12, 2009 @ 09:24 PM UTC

Pardon? If anything you editted out the laughs. I thought you were high when you called me.

I wish I had a better excuse to sound so gauldamn Texan.

Wow....Matt, I knew you would do a great job but:
this is REALLY outstanding!!!

There is some serious talent on this website. :)

Breathtax
Breathtax on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 06:40 AM UTC

@lonnie - its taverns and foaming mead heere (with the bits still in) served by wenches trying to dodge spit-roasted pigs and getting their pinafores getting caught on the lute player's cat-gut strings.

matt, when i mentioned you should make me sound retarded, we were both laughing right? :)
i think the most poignant part was the sync tone demise - i was crying, out of my penis admittedly, but tears nonetheless - i almost feel bad for it and might spearhead a campaign to have it put in a glass case in a museum..
seriously though, thanks for putting in on this - nicely put together.

Brannon
Brannon on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 07:42 AM UTC

Actually, I don't remember you laughing that much. I kept thinking I should have done the Legendary thing. Listening now, I think it all went well.

Lonnie oozes a sort of carefree wisdom.
Bjorn just oozes.
Ben is by far the favorite.

bjorn
bjorn on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 08:34 AM UTC

I demand my right to ooze. Whether that is positive or negative, I have no clue, but it sure has a cool spelling. Just look at it: ooze. Man. It struck me that I failed miserably, I should of course have promoted the SKIPPY help line. Argh. Sorry, Brannon.

Lonnie
Lonnie on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 11:08 AM UTC

Ben is by far the favorite. He gets his own spinoff show.

bjorn
bjorn on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 12:20 PM UTC

There is just no substitute for the British English pronounciation of "crap", is there? I agree, give Ben a show!

Breathtax
Breathtax on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 01:27 PM UTC

awww ha ha thanks.
well how about a rap song (imagine a crunk? beat)

you'd better watch out
because me and my associates
are going to administrate your posterior
if that there can be little doubt

i have a rolls royce
my abode is large
and has various artefacts resdiing therein
most of which you probably couldn't afford were you to work for a lifetime
so you'd really better understand
that i do not jest
my butler will phone the constabulary
if you come within 5 miles of my dwelling

my colleagues and i are excercisng our perogative almost constantly
we relax on the lawn and drink pimms sometimes without a mixer,
we only smoke the finest shag
our pipes are almost crammed to bursting
as we lay back by our swimming vestibule

you'd better watch out
my associates and i will administrate your posterior
until you have no comebacks

ladies of the night and those on the street
are attracted to me through my sheer financial fortitude
the stockmarket is ours to play with like a childrens toy

...maybe not

bjorn
bjorn on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 02:15 PM UTC

You really talk the talk, Ben. I didn't know you were so low-income, high-crime rate residential area with many illegal aliens temporarily between employments.

Breathtax
Breathtax on Sun, Sep 13, 2009 @ 02:41 PM UTC

affirmative, and don't you fail to indicate cogniscence of that fact......nahhh posh gangster doesn't really work does it? actually I'm an elitist tramp...its terrible.
i'm not posh am I? - there seems to three types of broad speech here - posh, chav and those who can't be bothered to speak - a kind of non-committal mumble - i think i fall into the last category :)
