I am a classically trained pianist and composer with three decades of experience playing in live bands and composing music. I have studied classical and jazz performance and composition from an early age, and have traveled the world gathering influences of music from China, India, and Europe. I even lived as a Zen Buddhist Monk in China for several years. I have also worked in the video game industry for 10 years, and am now focused on creating and producing new music for The Upanishad Project. This project is inspired by the Upanishads, and its goal is to bring awareness to the Smile Train Charity (www.smiletrain.com). In my studio, I have a Korg Oasys workstation and I compose using ProTools 9.

Musical Influences: Herbie, Miles, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, Dave Stewert, Hiromi, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Debussy, Chopin, and singer/songwriters like The Frames and Jack Johnson.

Spiritual Influences: Zen Buddhism, Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodren, Jack Kornfield, HHDL, Deepak Chopra, Yogananda, and The Upanishads.
