I'm really interested in guitar driven music, but occasionally like to swap the pint for a cocktail and listen to a little trance or down temp lounge stuff; don't aspire to create anything electronic, but am open to the possibility of adding a bleep or a bloop as an element here and there - maybe Radiohead or Granddaddy style. But mostly overall it's all about the guitar for me... and the bass, but I'm only starting with that. Played in several versions of the same college band over the years and had a lot of fun, but this thing called "life" caught up to most of us, and that was that. I am currently a visual effect artist moving from job to job, so starting a band is not really an option - though I still crave a musical creative outlet. Hence, why I am here. My main influences, but not limited to are: 1. Jimmy Page 2. Stone Gossard 3. The Edge 4. Peter Buck 5. Dave Navarro Albums that changed my course: 1. U2 The Joshua Tree 2. Blind Melon - Blind Melon 3. Pearl Jam - Ten 4. Pavement - Brighten the Corners 5. Son Volt - Trace 6. Wilco - Summer's Teeth 7. Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking 8. The Doors - Strange Days * These are the starting points that I approach my songwriting with, BUT I am always open to other ideas and suggestions. It's more interesting on the fringes of what you know.
