Michael Seifert is a multi-platinum award winning producer, engineer, arranger, and composer. Michael has had the privilege of working for and with bands and artists including Tori Amos, Fountains of Wayne, Regina Spektor, Lifehouse, Colby Caillat, Gerald Levert, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Neil Zaza, Too Short, Eightball, Pimp C (UGK), Chuck Mosley (Faith No More), Guided by Voices, Cobra Verde, J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Kate Voegele, blues legend Robert Lockwood Jr., Happy Rhodes, Nicholas Megalis, Mr. Gnome, and countless others. In addition to his work with bands and artists, Michael has scored independent films and major motion pictures (including work on Bram Stoker's Dracula (Special Edition), The Outsiders, The Godfather Trilogy Special Edition), and the Apocalypse Now Documentary "Hearts of Darkness" for legendary producer/director Frances Ford Coppola). He has also composed, recorded, and produced music for Fox, CBS, MTV, American Greetings and Sports Illustrated among others. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals) he has a keen ability for achieving tonal balance where it should be achieved: at the source. Although his techniques are firmly rooted in the use of classic analog gear he also incorporates some of the latest digital technology.
Extremely versatile, Michael’s credits include work in a wide range of styles including rock, pop, metal, country, industrial, hip-hop, jazz, R & B, and orchestral.
