I began playing guitar when I was around 16 or 17, not knowing if I would ever do anything with it. After spending a few years in the Air Force and moving around a lot, I decided to go back to school and get my Associates Degree in music. While finishing my degree early in 2008 I began work on an untitled project that would eventually become the band Decaptured, and the album Scavengers of the High Land. I did most of the music and songwriting myself, pulling in a few friends to help complete the project. You can hear the album at www.decaptured.com or http://www.ourstage.com/fanclub/decaptured. I did everything on this album in a single room in my house (mixing, editing, recording, mastering). Some of the songs are currently being updated with a better singer... admittedly, vocals were never my strong suit. Now I have been working on solo projects more on the electronic and experimental side of music. I consider myself more of a songwriter than any sort of musician. I love working with midi, so if anyone is looking to add horns, strings, synth, or programmed drums... drop me a line. I am confident in my ability to mix, so if you are looking for someone, I'm always happy to help. Mastering on the other hand I haven't had that much experience with. I only mastered my first album so I wouldn't have to pay someone what I consider an outrageous fee.... and for the experience. But I like to think I have a good ear for sound, and I've had plenty of experience mixing... Pro Tools is like a third arm to me. :) This is probably a shot in the dark, but I'll say it anyway... I'm currently unemployed and looking for something in the audio engineering field. I'd relocate in a moment for the right opportunity, which is basically anything to do with music. My equipment: Epiphone guitar, Pro Tools, Propellerhead Reason, EZ Drummer, and Izotope Trash. My influences are very widespread. I used to be into a lot of early Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and Pantera... and I do still listen to them, just not as much. I also like Talking Heads, The Shins, Tragically Hip, The Streets, The Doors, New Pornographers, Buckethead, The Raconteurs, Slipknot, CCR, etc.
