Hey, all, I was wondering if someone could help me out. Anyway, I am currently using ProTools MBox w/LE Software 8.05. I have moved recently and had to disconnect my entire studio. I setup the studio in my new home and now I have been getting the "Unable to Locate DigiDesign Hardware..." message, and because of this, I can't even fire up a ProTools session. I have tried updating my drivers and moving the USB cord around to different ports, but this does not help. Has anyone had this issue before and do you have any suggestions on how to solve this? Thanks.

Hello De. The first thing I'd do is to trash all the preferences files in your system. Use the Tech Support Utility that comes with the install. As usual, more details on your system specs would be needed to better pinpoint anything, but trashing every Digidesign preference file and the DAE file should fix most issues regarding connectivity.

Let us know how it goes.

All the best,

Carlos

Hey, Carlos, I am back on ProTools again. I did not get to use your advice because I had a system crash or the Blue Screen of Death. I then had to System Restore. Once I did that, something told me to try uninstalling all of the related drivers one more time and then reinstalling them. This got me up and running again in PT8. At least for now. I will keep your suggestion, though, because I probably need to do that anyway. Well, thanks for you help. Rock on.

Unfortunately, I know this problem all too well. Nevertheless, try this:
