This is Rob Greaney from Health Songs International.

Health Songs International is a not for profit organization dedicated to bringing vital health messages to vulnerable communities throughout the world through the use of songs.

I'm a songwriter like the rest of you but through my extensive travels I stumbled on a huge need out there. 
We all know that the best way to a message out is through a song right?  Well how about if you could get a message out about malaria or avian flu or cholera.  That song of yours could save a life.

I write mostly in languages other than English so if there are any songwriters who write in say Spanish or Arabic or French or Russian or whatever please get in touch.

 Does the song have to be direct? For example, about addictions to anything-  maybe I'd write about the families that are affected by the addicts behaviors and poor choices?

Interesting.  I am a lyricist here on Kompoz and  I have already collaborated with DeMeriden for a song "Needle Under My Skin" about addiction and hope.  I would be willing to work with any musicians (in english) to write for "Health" songs.  Please let me know!

Hello-

 I have finally composed a song for this project. I will be loading this up soon. The title "Heal the truth".

It took me a while to come up with something because I did not want to cover the symptom more the solution- embrace the the truth and accept and move on is basically how I approached this. I think it is healthly when you can move from the pain or move forward. It's hard for myself to do this and I am sure anyone can relate no matter what they are burdened with. Addiction-death-sickness etc.. I lost alot of members in my family in a very short time recently, it was hard to accept their passing and scary to reflect on my own life- trying to find the quality. This is not to preach only to comfort,so I hope to acheive that.  

Sorry this took so long.

I like the idea of this project- it was "healthy" to write.
