First time blogger....

Dear Kompoz.....
This is my very first blog... EVER.. I'm not sure even what blog means (and I'm an IT guy!), but I'm going to type anyway and see what happens.
My topic is basically Kompoz and the great outlet this has become for me to once again dabble in original music. I say dabble because it is nothing like a real band situation when creating music but it does add an interesting aspect.... that aspect is anonymity... When your face to face with someone you have to be somewhat genuine, or you get sniffed out real quick. It's very hard to hide short comings when your live and having to blend with other musicians in real time.
I have always liked live performance and I still feel there is no substitute, but I also know that I will probably never get that privilege again. So.... This is my new playground! And I have not been doing well getting adjusted...:) But I hope to do better, I am just having a difficult time adjusting to all the absolutely great music that is taken so casual... I am just floored by that... it seems like good song writing is so trivial now with it being so much easier to access and learn.
I have listened to no less than 2 dozen excellent tunes on Kompoz, I don't mean oh I think there good in some kind of "family" way, I'm talking about world class make sume bucks on the radio kinda good... And it's a big WOW to see them get sliced, diced and invited to the pot luck and completely shredded.... But I'm doing better...) I have new Meds!
All of you wonderful musicians and song writers, I am humbled by your abilities and I will do my best to fit in better and learn how to let things go.... But I will probably never trivialize good music.... I am trying to learn to have fun... and that not everything needs to be perfect all the time.....
So for everyone that I pissed off, stepped on your toes or was to "honest" in my critique, I am sorry... I'm just trying to create the best music I can and if I can help others do the same in the process, well then that's more people that get a win.

.. and as far as I understand (also being an IT guy) it is an abbreviation of weBLOG... well... let the kids on facebook worry about what it means :)

I have just learned a great lesson not to drink and read any of Lonnie's comments. Ya almost lost a singer to choking on Coca-Cola.
I for one am glad that you are here X. You bring something special to our Kompoz family. Your the older sibling (to further confuse Lonnie) that just wont let it go, and that is good. It shows to me that you have passion in what you do and you want others to share in that passion.
Now let me say this to all who read this. When X first came to Kompoz, I though that this person was pushy, rude and obnoxious. But once I was able to let my own guard down, I realized that all X was trying to do was to make me want to be better at everything I do. And at first it seemed like work, but it really is how you perceive it isn't it? I mean, given the choice to Kompoz, or go my day job--- I take Kompoz..(oh I will need an increase in my pay Raf)
One saying that will always stay with me is this "Anything worth doing is worth doing well"
I am now very proud to call X my friend, coach, mentor, producer and sometimes a great pain in my ass.
Stay who you are X.. I am sure that like myself, others will warm up to your ways of Kompozing. And have fun doing it! :)

I always saw you as primary a guitar player, probably because I think the first stuff I heard from you was jaw-dropping guitar. You are very high in my estimate also as a bass player, which should be fairly obvious from my comments to your bass lines :) (also when you replace me), and next time I list bass players for whatever reason, you are there. Not that any listing of bass players from me should mean anything to anyone, there are at least 20 bass players on Kompoz who play better than I do :)
