"friend" is a noun, and thus, the expression "friend me" does not have any relevance in the English language. It may help if you say it in a funny accent (for reference see Kompoz Radio October) :)

I'm working with Webster and the PTMNIVO (People That Make Nouns Into Verbs Organization) to declare Kompoz as an official verb, and as an official alternate spelling for compose. And yes, "friend" is a verb.
