My 11 year old son is enrolled at the Miami School of Rock, a very cool music school that opened recently near our home (other locations nationally). The school is different from other more traditional music programs in that, in addition to a 45 minute weekly private lesson, they also have a weekly 3 hour rehearsal with all of the kids in program, during which they practice as a band. At the end of each quarter, they put on a big concert.

This past weekend, they performed for the fist time together live! They sold out two nights at the Miami Space Planetarium and performed Pink Floyd's "The Wall", complete with a laser light show and professional sound equipment.
