New Embeddable Flash Player: Share Your Stuff

I think you're gonna like this. We just rolled out a new Flash player that solves memory leak issues reported when using Internet Explorer. OK, yeah that's not so exciting. The really cool news is this: the new flash player now has a way-cool "Share" feature.
The new "Share" button appears at the top right of your browser, directly on the Kompoz Flash player itself. Clicking that button will present two options:
Copy Embed Code to Clipboard
Copy URL to Clipboard
What's this for? Option 1 will, as the name suggests, copy the code you need to share the currently playing Kompoz song or track with other web sites, such as My Space, your personal music site, and any other page that allows you to add HTML. Check out the Kompoz My Space page for an example. Option 2 will simply copy the URL to the project/track page on Kompoz. This is handy for sharing links via e-mail, blog pages, etc.
When you use the embed code, you'll get a beautiful 300 pixel by 250 pixel Flash player, which will include the album art for the project, the project name and track title, plus the names of the Kompozers that contributed to the project or track. Plus, your Flash player will have a "Share" button too, so that anyone that visits your page can also embed the player.
Finally, we've also made use of this new player throughout the Kompoz site. Just look for the popup button (like this: ) on project and track listings. Click the button to open a nifty Flash player (did I just say "nifty"?) in a new window so that you can listen to the song while you continue browsing in your main window.
EDIT: By the way, if you are on a project overview page and use the share button, the code you get will create a Flash player that will playback the Featured track, or the most recent mixdown. But if you are on a track detail page and use the share button, the code you get will create a Flash player that will always playback that specific track.

By the way, I guess I should have included a working sample. Here's Easy Escape in the new Flash Player:

One of my favs is "neato" but I find it really only works with older folks. Makes 'em feel young again.

I think what you all are trying to say is: "Hum Dinger!"

Raf,
Will we ever get a email-um-able....Flash player again?? lol It was nice for me to send the the flash player to non-computer savvy people like my mother, so she could just click the link and hear it with out getting confused on how to used links and navigate around my kompoz profile. Sorry, I know your trying to move forward, but I rather enjoyed that feature. :0)

You were able to do that with the old player? Cool! But how?

Ok.. unless I was dreaming. Before the changes to the track pages, you had three options I believe... 1. Embed code 2. Ipod 3. Flash Code. When I pasted the "Flash" code into an email and if you copied and pasted the flash into your browser address bar and hit enter, it would pop up just a flash player that had Kompoz on it, and you just had the options of volume and play I believe. You didn't have all the comments and wav form just a simple flash player and that was it.... I swear I have not been smoking anything.. lack of sleep maybe..
EDIT: Is there a specific browser we are to be using, I tried clicking the little play button and I don't get a "nifty" flash player so that I can browse other pages while listening..

You're correct. There were 3 options until just yesterday. Now there are only 2, and the direct link to just the flash player is now gone. I'll add that back in.
By the way, there's an easy-ish way to still get that. Just click the popup button (like this: ) next to any track, then copy the URL from the address bar in the popup window. Send that via e-mail and you'll get a page like this.

I must be on a different planet, I don't get a pop up player when I click that button, and if I copy the URL in the address bar and email it (to myself to see), it just takes me to the page, not to that really nice page you linked.. What am I missing?

When you say "that" button, you don't mean the exact one on this blog that I used as a visual reference, right? Have you tried clicking buttons that look just like that one, but appear throughout the rest of the site? You should get a popup.
Send me a PM if that still does not work.
