New SLOW RiDE Video
Fri, Jun 20, 2008 06:36 AM CDT - Byraf
Eddie Zyne, drummer for SLOW RiDE, just sent me a video they put together from their Fernstock appearance. Fernstock is where I first met Tony Stevens (founding member of Foghat and Savoy Brown) and asked him to provide us with the tracks which we used for the very first Kompoz remix contest.
The videos below contain some footage shot by me (but most it -- the good parts -- courtesy of Bruce Merwin), and feature Kompoz friends Tony Stevens on bass, Eddie Zyne on drums, Tommy Hall on the red Fender strat, and Billy Livesay on lead vocals and guitar. Tommy Hall has also contributed here at Kompoz. You can hear him play an amazing solo on my song Down To The River. And of course, you can hear Billy Livesay sing on the many contest mixes, including Sid's Reggae version of Redemption.
So now here are the faces to the names...

What a great voice. Reminds me of Sammy Hagar.

Yes indeed, Mike.... and a touch of Paul Rodgers is in there too.
