This kind of thing REALLY gets my blood boiling....
Tue, Sep 9, 2008 • 09:38 AM CDT - By Cranie

Luckily (or unluckily depending on your point of view) he only sustained ligament and rib injury. A fall from the stage can result in far far worse. Any bets on how bad security (and the band) messed this guy up backstage?

I can't tell you how my heart sank seeing that. That just pisses me off. Now I understand there are people with mental illnesses that do these type of things, don't get me wrong, I understand it, but it is so sad that innocent musicians that bring so much joy to hundreds of people, have to be the target.. Not saying anyone is a worthwhile target, but maybe it's because I respect musicians so much that this brings a sour feeling to my stomach and anger in my heart. And I am sure this happens allot, I just never heard of it until Dimebag Darrell was killed. It's just so damn stupid. Thanks Craine.

That kind of stuff makes me want to whack the idiot in the head with a precision bass.

I was hanging out with Dimebag Darrel (of Pantera & Damage Plan) at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, having a few drinks with this accessable guitar hero & his band after a performance) mellow guys that loved and appreciated their fans, a few shows later he was DEAD at the hands of a crazed gun-toting fan. I was also at a show where someone checked a bottle at Stone Temple Pilot's front man here is Spokane, he stopped the performance, pointed the guy out in the crowd, spoke to him about how horny and frustrated he was on the road, and how he might be inclined to take out his sexual frustrations on the guy after the show. Of course a few fellow surrounding the offender took care of him, he was uhsered out of the building in a non-gentle way. This is another example. Boils my blood too. I only hope the crowd beat this here here guy severely after his plunder. And I'm a non-violent sort.
