Musicians and fans can hear and jam along with Joe's original take for the song "Another Kind of Love". This un-edited recording has never been released.

"This [contest] track was the original tracking take, and the solo was played live with the band", said Kevin Shirley, Producer for Joe's Sloe Gin CD. "As I recall, we later did another solo on the end of the record, as we wanted to get more of an early Fleetwood Mac vibe. As always, Joe's live solos are what he's about."

Musicians and fans have from April 1, 2009 until May 31, 2009 to produce a cover, original remix, or a total new song with Joe Bonamassa. To enter, simply download Joe's guitar recording from kompoz.com, collaborate with other Kompoz members, and create something amazing. Your song will be judged by Joe Bonamassa, Roy Weisman (manager), Matt Blackett (Guitar Player Magazine), and Raf Fiol (Kompoz). The winning song will be featured on JoeBonamassa.com and will receive 5,000 airplays on Jango.com. All collaborators on the top 3 songs will win an autographed Joe Bonamassa CD. One lucky winner will receive an autographed Epiphone Les Paul Special II.

About Joe Bonamassa

Born in upstate New York, Joe Bonamassa started playing guitar at the age of four. By seven he was playing the blues like a veteran. While still in his teens, Joe met musician Berry Oakley, Jr., and together they put together the group Bloodline. Signed to EMI Records, their self-titled debut CD on EMI produced two chart hits, "Stone Cold Hearted" and "Dixie Peach". In 2000, Joe finished work on his debut solo CD, A New Day Yesterday; the disc featured appearances by such respected players as Gregg Allman, Rick Derringer, and Leslie West. In August of 2007, Joe released his seventh album, Sloe Gin, which topped the Billboard Blues Chart for 10 weeks. Joe Bonamassa was voted Best Blues Guitarist in Guitar Player Magazine's 2007, 2008, and 2009 Readers' Choice Awards. He's also a major spokesperson for the Blues In The Schools program which teaches kids about the history of the blues and the importance of music overall.

About Kompoz

Kompoz is an online social network designed for music lovers to create songs with others from around the world. Kompoz members span over 120 countries and all 24 time-zones. Kompoz is a music collaboration site with features that enable distributed music creation. Meaning this: songs are created in layers -- drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, etc. But very few people play all of these instruments, so it's hard to create a complete song unless you're part of a band. Kompoz solves that problem. Kompoz provides the platform to create songs with a bass player in Sweden, a drummer in Ohio, and a guitar player in Kalamazoo. The world is your virtual on-demand recording studio.
