Kompoz.com Launches Music Collaboration Contest with Tony Stevens and SLOW RIDE
Miami, FL (PRWeb) December 17, 2007 -- Kompoz.com has launched the first direct artist-fan collaborative music event on its online music workspace and social networking platform. From December 17, 2007 through February 15, 2008, Kompoz will host the Tony Stevens SLOW RiDE "Join Together" music collaboration contest.
Tony Stevens, original bass player for Foghat (and before that, Savoy Brown), featuring his new band SLOW RiDE, has posted the studio multitrack files for the song "Redemption" from the band's new CD titled "Join Together". Fans are invited to download the tracks and submit their own original work; replacing a guitar solo, adding in their own vocals, and totally remixing the song.
"We're providing a new platform for engagement", says Raf Fiol, founder and CEO of Kompoz.com. "Using Kompoz, artists can interact with fans in a new and very meaningful way. As a kid growing up, I had dreams of playing with rock legends like Tony Stevens. Just goes to show -- dreams can come true! We're going to give one or more lucky fans the opportunity to have their work featured on the band's website."
Best individual track (in any mix) or best overall mix will win a copy of SampleMoog virtual instrument software from IK Multimedia, an autographed CD from SLOW RiDE, and a Kompoz t-shirt. Four additional winners will receive an autographed CD from SLOW RiDE and a Kompoz t-shirt. The best overall mix will be featured on SlowRideRocks.com and Kompoz.com. Winners will be selected by Tony Stevens, SLOW RiDE, and Kompoz.com staff.
The event is sponsored by IK Multimedia and syndicated radio program Classic Artists Today.
