HI dudes and duddesses..this is my profile..
the way i like to approach projects, and am often misinterpretted (but that i can understand) is to paint in broad strokes first of all...get at least SOMETHING down...its best to listen to them out of focus...with your ears and heart...its the intention not the exactitude...not to be taken literally or end to end. alot of my stuff is exploratory made up as i go along in that search for the right feel.... there also may be a couple of nuggets in one jam or idea....then if any feedback comes , great...if not i may keep plugging away..i tend to upload exclusively to 'ideas' initially and then if feedback comes for example i really like that snippet you played at 1:02...it was about 1 second long...thats enough to help me expand it into more of that..I'm looking for a doorway into a project, so colours, filmic descriptions (what would be playing on the screen when your music is playing?), and moods all help me..i take a while to get warmed up, but once i'm firing i can surprise myself in playback..in fact its those moments that are what keep me going.
In fact i would say that my playing probably suits soundtrack stuff more than vocal pop, but equally i love a well put together song.
my sound i describe as colourful and a little rough round the edges..I'm probably more of an R&B player than anything else. but i also like celtic music.
