My talents include:

- Vocals, Backup
- Vocals, Lead
What I do:
I can sing lead/backup vocals, offer harmonies, and write lyrics. I enjoy singing in my lower range, though I've certainly got soprano notes tucked away in there. The genres that most naturally fit my musical tendencies would be folk/acoustic, contemporary pop/rock, the happy or moody side of alternative rock, and smoky jazz. (But I'm not afraid of hip hop, either!)
I have a decent amount of voice education under my belt. I know a bit of theory, and I can read music well. I took private lessons in classical voice for seven years under a fantastic teacher. I've also participated in several theater productions and performing choirs. These days, though, Kompoz is my only singing venue.
I greatly admire musicians from all genres and eras. Some of my favorite voices would be Amy Lee of Evanescence, P!nk, Heather Headley, Sarah McLachlan, Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf, and Alison Sudol. My favorite harmonies come from bands like Yellowcard, Secondhand Serenade, and Mumford & Sons. Best lyricist in the world? American folk singer David Wilcox, hands down.
My gear is my vocal chords and natural sense of pitch. I record with a Yeti USB Blue microphone, using Garageband to edit. Yep.
