My name is Austin, I go by Lucian online so everyone knows who I am regardless of where I am.

Now, I am an 18 year old Home Schooled High School senior in Texas, USA.
I have unfortunately missed a lot of my chances to get education in the music field so what I have and have done is all self-taught. I started off when I was very little learning to play drums for a scott-irish band in my home town with my brother who played bagpipes.  This was all well and good but when I joined the home school band I was treated poorly and dropped music from my life nigh entirely for many years...

Eventually I began just singing in my own time. Whatever popped into my head.
In 2004 I was given my very first decent personal computer which I used to log down all my lyrics whether they made sense or not.
I've grown a lot since then. I have adapted my styles and practiced singing different genres of music and I write very simply looping ideas on the guitar while I develop new lyrics.

I began stepping into the world of poetry about the same time and eventually gained a slight but nevertheless supportive base of 'fans' one might call them. 

Well, I looked for a band for a good while until i realized the lovely home of Buddy Holley was devoid of competent musicians seeking band-membership...

So I turned to the internet. I found a few previous collaboration website but this is surely the best one I've found.
Coming here I hope to step up my game and really push the limit of what I can do to some newer and greater things with the help of the musicians here.

Now, my setup is quite basic...

I have just replaced my old computer for one more toned to support the work load some usic software can bring on it as my father discovered really wears on machines not built for it...
I use Cakewalk home as my main software with the help of Creative Wave-Studio. Not an advanced or amazing grouping but it gets the job done well enough...
Now my mic setup needs to be replaced sooner or later... It's some number of years old, almost ten years I think. Got it for free with a sterio system.
Anyway, it works also, enough so and with good enough wuality that I don't mind the lacking on AMAZING performance or perfessional backing.

So, my only problem with recording at this point is the fact I live at home with 6 people and a large number of free-roaming animals. Makes recording tough sometimes but I manage.

I'm fairly new to the music scene but I am confident in my abilities and if nothing else seek to learn. I hope to meet you all and very much also hope to see what I can contribute to the projects here with you musicians who I have found to be quite good!
