Hi guys

I am interested in buying a KALA Ukulele Bass. Looks very cool and compact. It should be a fun mini bass to play around. Has anyone of you heard about this bass or owned one? Any comments about it? Thanks.

Very cool :), do you know how it is tuned? Ukulele-style or regular bass style?

Those look like the same strings I use with my Ashbory Bass, polyurethane, fun to  play!

Wow, I watched the video :). I wonder how many hours it took him to re-learn the fingerings, the distance between the "frets" must be less than half of that of an upright bass. Very cool indeed :)

Simon, check out the Ashbory bass by De Armond, it's very similar but is fretless, I've been playing one for a year and a half and love the hell out of it, deep growley tone, to punchy bright, and it fits overhead for airline travel too!

They have one of these at Elderly Instruments here in my town. I may have to go on a field trip to check it out. If I had the cash just based on the demo I would pick one up in a heart beat!

I wanted a small acoustic bass more like my regular acoustic bass and ended up buying a Beaver Creek bass (almost ukulele sized)

Great video by some Canadian dude here
