Bonamassa Click Track Now Available Sat, Apr 4, 2009 10:00 AM CDT - Byraf
Kompozer Stuart (casper) just sent me a note saying that he has created a click track for the Joe Bonamassa contest, and that he is offering it to the community. Stuart said:
"I just created a click track for my contest entry that I thought may also be useful to other people. It took me nearly 4 hours to sync it properly (in Cubase) to your version with the sync tone (BTW, thanks for doing that). The reason it took me so long to create a simple click track is because I had to first create a "Tempo Map" in Cubase. You visually go in and place markers at all different hit points (manually), then the drums, click, or any midi part plays to this newly created tempo map synced to the live performance."
I've added the click track to the contest zip file. You can download it from the contest page. Thanks Stuart!

Thanks Brannon.
Once you line up the click track with the guitar track, simply have your DAW recognize the clicks as 'hitpoints' then you will have the same tempo map as me (or, then you can start to improve on my one).
You can then:
1. Align midi more accurately
2. Cut & Paste audio more accurately
3. Send your drummer an accurate click track.
4. Alter the tempo (of everything) accurately.
Let's make some tight projects!

Anyone know how to use the sync in Logic Express in order to get the tempo?
