Hi everybody,

 

I'm happy to announce that today I released my first online album, under creative commons licence!

...ok, it's not quite a real album... but it was nice making it. Here is the story:

 

I tried an experiment, a few weeks ago I started playing in Second Life. Was strange, playing alone at home but with some listeners from everywhere (a bit like Kompoz). To me it felt almost as if I were on a true stage (stress before, etc.). In my sets I only played improvised stuffs. At the end, I decided to go further in my experiment, and to select some of the solo piano impros I recorded from these sets, to do a "live" album. And voilà!   

The live impro side allowed me to do this quickly, but on the other end this is not well finished and structured as composition would have been.

 

Anyway, this is in a style different from what I played here on Kompoz.

Bjorn: Yeah, I'm so slow at finishing composed and kompozed projects that I could wait a decade before having a finished album! This "live impro" thing allowed me to do a first one relatively quickly, and it teaches me to "act" instead of watching time fly, as I always do.


Pete: I think it's too improvised and off tempo to do something with it on Kompoz. But on the other hand I have pending things on my computer that I could put online for Kompoz collab.
