Quick Search Browser Add-on Tue, May 19, 2009 06:12 AM CDT - Byraf
If you're using a Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, you've probably used and fallen in love with the Quick Search input box. It's the one that appears on the top right of your browser window. Type in keywords and go -- your browser will execute the search for you. This saves you the step of having to first go to a search engine website, such as Google, Yahoo, etc.
Both Firefox and Internet Explorer allow you to customize the list of search providers. You can manually add additional sites that you search often, including Kompoz.com. And as of yesterday, we just made a change so that your browser will auto-detect Kompoz as a search provider. Now adding Kompoz.com to your list is friggin' simple!
Just click the drop-down arrow that appears next to the search box. You'll see a list of search engines. If you're currently visiting any page on Kompoz.com (like right now, as you're reading this blog), you'll see an option to add Kompoz.com as a search provider! Just select it and you're done.
Once you add Kompoz as a search provider, you'll be able to search Kompoz.com anytime, even if you're visiting another site. Just type in keywords and go! For more Kompoz search options, watch our tutorial on Advanced Search.

I typed the random characters, bjorn, into the search box. My computer ran out of memory and crashed. Is there any way to limit number of results returned?

LOL! It does paging of the search results, so it should be able to handle the Bjorn factor.
