No big surprise here -- Roger chose this tune as his favorite for obvious reasons. As Bjorn noted in the project description, this song demonstrates "the kollective spirit of Kompoz." It features 21 kompozarians, each contributing their voices to create a really moving Kompoz Khoir. Roger and Jessica lead the congregation through an amazing and moving interpretation of the song.
Second place goes to George, with his remix that includes the seven original Roger McGuin tracks, plus new bass, percussion, banjo, and a even a stadium crowd.
If first place was not a big surprise, then -- GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! -- third place certainly is. I even checked with Roger to confirm his choice (no offense Marty). Roger e-mail back to say "the robot had me in stitches." Congratulations!

Hard NOT to select a spiritual version of an old field holler song. Congrats to all the Kompozers who participated on the song and thanks to Roger!

Yay! And really GREAT mixing job, Mike. It's incredible how one can still hear the single voices even in such a big choir. No mud, great definition. Thank you.

Thank you very much, Roger! And an extra special thanks to Mike for his incredible mixing skills and PATIENCE :) - "hold on, Mike, I know you were finished with the mix but ooops we have three voices more..."
Thank you also to all members of the Khoir and an extra-terrestrial super thank you to Sister Jessica for showing the path :)

Wow! Pretty cool stuff!!!
"Praise This Hammer"--Thank You Bjorn for taking a chance and asking me if I could try to come up with the parts. You had faith in me when I wasn't sure I could even pull it off, I mean i'm not a "gospel" singer....but your idea of this "Khoir" appealed greatly to me, so I tried my best!!
I am more than proud of how it turned out! Every mix that Mike did I got more and more excited about it! When it was all said and done, you could sit back and just feel like you were in the middle of the congregation clapping right along!!! I mean even the piano had that "church piano" sound!!!
I am so very proud for all of those of you who jumped on board to be in the khoir. I know a few of you were a bit critical about your vocals, but it really turned out so great!! Be proud for doing something out of your comfort zone!! It was all in the spirit of kollaboration!!!! It was my pleasure to lead all of you talented gospel singers!!! he he :)
Seriously, great job to everyone involved!! I am still so proud to be a part of Kompoz!!! :)
And Thank You Roger!!!! Without his words and melody, we would not have had this opportunity to come together and sing so the whole world could hear what the spirit of Kompoz.com sounds like! :)

Great choices and great job to everyone involved! My biggest question is whether SM37 will not be getting no feet?

I had no doubt that the Praise team would be in the top spot, but never in a million years would I have expected for SM37 to achieve 3rd place.
I was on my way to a gig in Fayette-Nam last night when my wife called to tell me the news. I couldn't stop smiling all the way there and back. Thanks to Reverend Björn and the Praise Team for allowing me to be a part of it.

The Church Of The Last Temptation Of The Seventh Day Holy Backbeat thanks you all. Boy, are we lucky to not be on Ourstage where they practise blatant religious persecution. Phew. I was feeling slightly reprobate there for a moment until I remembered that this is Kompoz - our parking space in that great big shopping mall of life.
