Lyrics
T?was the twenty third of June, survived another sleepless, restless, messed up night,
I was tossin? in my sheets, broken weird fragmented dreams trapped in my mind,
Down to my last dollar, lookin? for a priest, got a world of troubles on my chest just searchin? for relief.
There?s a church around the corner, where I stumbled then I fell,
I woke up feelin? lucky by this broken wishin? well.
I scrambled for my dollar, an threw it deep inside..
An a genie appeared right before my very eyes!!!!!!
He said I?ll give you wishes, a new one every day, until the twenty-third of June, that?s when I go away.
I wished my self a golden benz with a pretty blond inside?
I drove that girl down main street with a pocket full of pride.
I wished I was in Vegas, with a big bag full of loot,
To show that girl my penthouse that the genie?d gave me too,
But just when I thought I owned the world and had it all?
The whiskey I?d been drinking, took me up where I could fall.
The genie became all jealous, midnight struck and I awoke..
Back in my apartment cause my mind was playin? jokes?
I went outside my apartment, lookin? for my girl, she was with another man which really rocked my world.
My Mercedes Benz was missing and my old pick up was back,
where there was once many riches, I found a dollar in my bag.
I walked back down to main street and were I stumbled then I fell,
Where I woke up feeling lucky by that broken wishing well.
I scrambled for my dollar and threw it deep inside,
my wife appeared there laughing clutching that dollar like a prize,
I asked where is all my wishes, all my fortune, all my hopes?
She me served with some papers and that was when I got the joke.
