David Baynes is an independent songwriter/producer living in Stirling, Ontario. Coming from a musical family (mother a pianist and father a violinist) began playing piano at an early age but switched over to the guitar.
Later majored in guitar studying Arranging & Composing at Humber College. A Jazz focused school, basically Canada's version of Berklee, continued to develop a musical background picking up a solid theoretical insight to arranging and various composing techniques.
I was lucky enough to play in some good bands during the college years but afterwards, reality kicked in that we needed to make a living and a 9 piece band making $1000 per night, wasn't gonna cut it playing weekends.
Today, with the power of the internet, home recording software and a site like this one connecting like minded musicians together, has certainly sparked more interest in creating new music. I welcome invitations to projects but sadly cannot accept all the invites.
If you are in the Southern Ontario area, you can arrange to stay at our B&B La Dolce Vita for a recording weekend stay.
