I like music, lots of music, eclectic tastes.

I grew up on a steady diet of Neil Diamond, Elvis and Johnny Cash thanks to my Dad. Then moved on to Journey, ELO, Boston, and Aerosmith thanks to my older brothers. Then I found Prince and bought every record he made. Soon after that I started to really dig European-alternative-dance pop from the likes of Yaz, Erasure, New Order, Depeche Mode, etc and also started buying every Cure record I could get my hands on.  In college while trying to start bands I started listening to guitar-jangle-pop like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Mathew Sweet, Gin Blossoms, and more Cure. All the while checking out country and folk artists and blues rock bands like Big Head Todd and the Monsters. And I am always listening to an assorted array of new acts like Velvet Revolver, Regina Spektor, Bright Eyes, Aqualung, and Dido.

I want to make music.

For the past 20+ years I have been trying to make music. It really is a shame that I am not better at it, but life has a way of slowing down our progress. I am hoping Kompoz can help speed me along as those who know more and have more talent can help me create 7 to 10 songs that I can be proud of. I have other creative pursuits that have been put on hold as I struggle with free time to create one records-worth of songs. I have been at it on Kompoz since the Summer of 2010 and as of this writing 2 or 3 songs have reeeeeally been helped by Kompoz members.

I have had a balst with Kompozers helping me create my alternative-moody-techo-pop. Though in reality I think it would be cool to have a band again even if the members are all over the world. Steady writing partners would be great.
