Hopefully this will not be taken as an attempt at crass self-promotion. It is not intended as such. I have finally managed to successfully launch a web site of some of my "other" work. If you have some time to look, then thanks. There is no intention to promote the selling of any of it here on Kompoz.. it's just that I'm too lazy to send out multiple notices to everyone I would like to.

Wow, nice! I am impressed. I'd like a bowl with a Kompoz bubble on it.

Hey Bill, you have some mighty fine artwork. :) The spalted Maple bowl is especially beautiful to me and the "Evening At The Point" is gorgeous. The shot you took near Big Sur is very close to where I took a similar shot a few years ago. Driving out there is worth every minute on those 10MPH curves. :D

Music, video, photography, wood working. . .all masterful. Whats left? Can you dance? Is there video of it?

Bill, great stuff. Your woodwork is gorgeous. Your photos are extraordinary. What other talents do you have? Did you speed-climb El Capitan while you were in Yosemite?

Billy that bench is just awesome. You need to make a guitar out of wood like that!

Agree with Mike, with skills like that, a guitar must happen. Great stuff!

gee, thanks all! I appreciate your kind words. I don't know about talent but it's hard to hold down a real job when all I want to do is make stuff.
@raf... a bubble on a bowl eh? I'll have to think about that.
@Brannon no, I do not dance. I tried once and was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace. Seems I caused uncontrolled laughter in the neighborhood that lasted for days.
@Jim.. I did not speed climb or even slow climb El Capitan. If I get 10 feet off the ground I get vertigo.
@Mike.. the bench is mesquite from Texas. It will make an great guitar, the stuff is incredibly hard and stiff.
I am on guitar #2 now.. #1 was walnut LP, #2 is modified Tele with Tropical Almond body (i think), #3 will be mesquite.
Thanks again guys.

Yes, indeed... a cypress strat body would be awesome.
I've seen Billy's stuff before, and all of it, woodworking, music, photography, has been exceptional quality. I can't wait to see his dance exhibition.

Amazing work, and the new website looks great. I really like the turquoise veins you create, especially in the darker woods like walnut. That Taos bench is beautiful. I've got about 10 ziricote panels, like 6" by 4" each, with some pretty incredible figuring. That is also some very hard wood. Maybe I can draw a little inspiration from your work

Billy's stuff is even more awesome in person. I think we should all plan a visit to his house for a live showing.

I would bet a fretless bass would sound good using that wood.
Always admire your work billy.

Pilot is finished.. We've been shopping it around. Only need about $150,000 to start production. Lol.. All my really wealthy benefactors are either dead or not answering my calls. Wonder why....
