Back in the 1980s I bought my first transistor organ and started a recording project with my brother. We used everything we could get our hands on, like eighttrack tapes for drums and vacuumcleaners for noise. Slowly we bought more stuff and started writing more music-like sound.
In the ninetees we started collaborating with other people and put the band on stage. From then on I was part of multiple bands.
I loved recording and producing more than actually playing live, however, and in 2014 I quit all bands to record my first solo album Transit (https://project2014.bandcamp.com/releases).
My strength is to change and enhance existing ideas through arrangement and production, so I would love to participate in Kompoz collaborations.
More about me and my project (in Dutch) can be found on https://vanmelzen.com
