Share Kompoz PLUS with a Noobie

We all know that feeling of being the new dude/dudette on Kompoz. With the fast-paced activity and the impressive talents of our artists, it can be a little intimidating when you're first getting started. Of course, we all want fresh talent, who can bring new ideas to our projects. So we've come up with a program that will both serve to welcome new members and to help our valued PLUS and PRO members bring new talent to their projects.

Here's how it works.

Kompoz members enrolled in our PLUS program will receive a gift card every year, valid for a one month free PLUS membership. Kompoz members enrolled in our PRO program will receive four gift cards each year. These gift cards can be gifted to any new user. It's a great way to say Welcome to Kompoz, noob, and a great way to entice new talent to your projects. We believe that receiving a gift card from you (rather than Kompoz) is a win-win-win. You'll make a new user feel great, you'll look like a rock star, and the Kompoz community will grow closer.

And now the details.

PLUS members will receive one gift card on the anniversary of their PLUS enrollment.
PRO members will receive four gift cards on the anniversary of their PRO enrollment.
The gift card will automatically appear on your account, and you will receive an email with details.
The gift cards can be awarded/gifted to any new Kompoz user not currently enrolled in a premium membership, and who has been enrolled for 60 days or less.
The gift cards are valid for a one month free Kompoz PLUS membership.
Gift cards must be gifted to a new user within 30 days of issuance.
Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

By the way, you can also purchase additional gift cards in multiple denominations and for either PLUS or PRO. Share Kompoz with a friend!

it's a good idea, but the 30 days limit after the date of issuance kinda forces me to find a new user right after my K-day, whether I like him/her or not. how about 3 months? like that I can give it to someone I genuinely like?

As I read it, you can award it at any time. From the award date, it's good for one month. At least I think that's the way it works.

Just to be clear, this is another way of stating how the system works. I will use you as an example: 1- Once issued by Kompoz to FingerFolkie, you have 30 days to gift it to someone else (a new artist). 2- Once it is gifted to and redeemed by that new artist, s/he will be given 30 days of PLUS for free. The reason for the "30 day" requirement in #1 above is that we want these to be shared as soon as possible.

Hey.. is there a way we can track noobies? I'm always interested in saying hello and welcome and helping new folks out that post to the community board but it would be interesting to be able to see who is new and checkout their material...would make for a direct way to get those folks involved, create connections and make recommendations, etc.

Hmm...lots of new members...not alot of new material uploaded or collabed through the first 4 days of membership. (That's all the further I got this morning) Can I ask...do you folks see any trends as to how long it takes noobies to become active? Of course, as with anything there is a learning curve. I guess some cross-referencing would be useful in comparing new members names to newest projects but that's alot of work! lol Anyhow, messaged a bunch of folks to welcome them onboard and ask that they upload some tunes so we can get to know their style. Offered assistance if needed. I guess if a handful of peeps did the same we would make our new members feel real comfortable. I think this promo is a cool way to welcome folks and create new relationships.

You probably covered this somewhere, but how do we know when there is a gift card issued to the account? email, message, notificians ?

nemonty, You will receive an email automatically (with the details) as soon as the card is issued to you. The gift card will appear in your account, and we'll send out reminders before they expire.

I received a gift card last year, and sent it to a new girl from my area. She never redeemed it, and it's still sitting on my account page. Will this card still be usable? Just wanted to know, thanks for all ya'll do!
