Well, it's also groove based but more on the rock side... I think it needs the keyboards back (slightly adjusted harmon structure) and some quieter parts etc... this is just to let you hear it going in a different direction...
This sounds pretty cool. Is there some way you can change the flow a bit on the second chorus? The way you've notated it makes it sound like we're completely done with the first section and they we've started over and, although the chords fit, the flow of transition sounds a little jarring. I'm curious to hear this if we added the piano to it. I'm sure the piano part would need a little editing to fit properly, but I think we can get it sound sound right and having them both together will help give the song the full sound I'm looking for. Great submission! I'm eager to hear more!
I just had this idea. So hearing the piano by itself is very somber and conclusive, so I'd love for the very last part that needs little-to-no instrumentals to be just the piano under the vocals. I think it would end the song beautifully and compliment, in a contrasting way, this garage band feel you've made
do you have a set up for mixing tracks? I can upload the individual drums, bass and guitar and you could then copy/paste them to an arrangement that you like?
I use audacity and that's about it. I'm not that great at mixing and I'm trying to go to school for it but I might not be able to because of the virus
Audacity isn't really the right tool for that... Cakewalk is quite easy to use and free or Studio One or Reaper, but the learning curve is steeper. I use Logic X on a Mac. Lots of Youtube videos for instructions and manuals for any of the above... but I guess a basic arrangement could be done in Audacity as you can copy/paste different tracks and mix them together roughly....
I'll upload the parts tomorrow...
Thank you. I'll try my best to put them together but I can't promise it'll sound how either of us want. Hope you have a lovely evening
Uploaded the Seps now. It's not about getting it perfect for now, it's just to establish the structure you are happy with - doesn't matter if the transitions aren't smooth. You know what you like and for you to be happy with your music, you need to take as much control as possible or you might be frustrated if it comes out differently. Once you have a good idea, you can then ask people to re-record the whole tune and hopefully get a real drummer and bass players etc involved. But it's easier if you can provide the guidance or people will just go off in the direction the like (like me) and that might not be what you are hearing....
Ah, I understand. Thank you for being patient with me. I won't have to do it today because I'm about to go to bed and then I'll have to wake up at 4 so I can go to work until 1am, but I'll test it out on Friday and hopefully have something around then
No problem, art can't be rushed :-)
