Wow - utterly utterly brilliant. Makes me smile, (despite a seriously self-inflicted hangover) and made my day.

Haha, thanks Richard. I get the word Dementia in a song, beat that one, my friend. I don't know what to do with it now though, any ideas?

Yeah lots. You wont like any of them. I can't work out some of the piano chords. Could you put a midi file up of it?

EmptyGlass   commented 6yr+3mo ago

I've not got a notification for this. I'll upload a midi file. There are a few 9ths and 6ths, in there, Richard. But really its. just G's C's D's an Em's in there. It's cos I listen to Marillion a lot. So, when a major chord sounds boring, I move them up on the key edit page. By mouse, but I do actually play the main thing, haha, well ish. I'll have it up for you soon. BTW, there are 3 pianos in the end section. You should really leave a piano centred, cos the vst of it, makes it stereo. But the other two Joanna's are going up, theres the main piano, then go up, not an octave, then the 3rd piano going up slightly more. The two higher ones, I've panned hard left an right. Not really how it should be done, but I've not mixed or finished the pianos yet, I want to change few bits....FFS, I'm boring meself now. 10 mins.

Is that you on piano? Good stuff.

EmptyGlass   commented 6yr+3mo ago

Well, I play the chords and then get the mouse out, if you know what I mean? The piano isn't really finished yet, though. I learned piano embelishments, if that's the right word, in my old Atari STE days, 1MB of memory, but what a machine that was, with my trusty Cubase on a floppy disk and a Fostex X15. Thank you so much Brannon.

Thank you very much, Nicola. After hearing the added stuff from Richard and Jeff, I am now thinking of quite a few versions of this song. I would love to hear your take on a full 'Nicola' mix, if you had the time to do it, or wanted too? I'm also going to ask Ken too. If you don't want too, there is no problem. There is a midi file of the piano I did, but I could put a chord chart up, if needed. But you don't need things like that, I'm sure.

Great tune Paul...also really like the versions from all the other contributors! You know you have something special when others are inspired to take in your song with their own interpretations...nice!

Thank you so much Tony. TBH, I was stuck after I recorded this and didn't really think much could be done with it. So when I asked Richard, if he had any ideas, I really meant it. It is amazing the other versions that people have come up with and I am truly humbled by that. I only thought that English people would get it, but for it to cross over to other countries has blown my mind too. Thanks again, do you know that you was the first person I collaborated with on here, almost two years ago?

Yes, I remember now that you mention it...didn't realize that was your first collaboration...cheers:) Thanks to Kompoz...we have a great platform to broaden our creativity as musicians and songwriters!

A Northern Love Song (For Evermore) You once had that look and that glint in your eye It was then that I told you and you made me cry So you held me so tightly and daren't let me go It was then that I knew, we was for ever - evermore So you puffed out your cheeks and you said 'what the hell' We was in this together and our friends could tell It was like we was famous, well at least for a day It was then that I knew, that we'd stay together - for evermore And if this ever falls apart Don't break my heart It's the only one I have And if our circumstances changed And we start laying blame We can simply turn the page And start again - and start again I suppose there's a reasonable doubt That we'll start to scream and shout And we'll fall apart, break each other's hearts All the time And they may be my concerns not yours I just hope we don't end up getting hurt 'Cos I love you so, I won't let you go Anymore So I'll put you completely at ease When I'm old I may cough, I might sneeze But I'll still hold you tight Like on our wedding night Loving you, is truly a breeze And if you got dementia And if you get the plague I'd still be so glad that I'd met ya And I'd go through it all again 'Cos I love you - for evermore

Great song you did Paul really good work. Ask some piano-player if they could help you and you will have a hit:)

EmptyGlass   commented 6yr+3mo ago

Thank you Staffan, the piano isn't finished yet, or mixed. There's actually 3 pianos in it at the end.

EmptyGlass PAUL WAKEFIELD R.I.P. Hi Everyone, I am not sure whether or not you are aware but sadly Paul Wakefield passed away a few days ago. Although Paul was ill his passing was unexpected and as such we do not yet have any further details. I am Paul's cousin and his parents have asked me to communicate the news of his passing to his friends on Kompaz. If this news has come as a shock to you then I sincerely apologise. Best Wishes, Wayne Shields x
