Hi there, hope this might work for you! I left a space in the middle incase you want to invite a male vocalist to join the song - how about inviting someone like ChamberZ (Nate F)? He has a brilliant voice!
Hi Christine Thanks for picking up on this one, I love it ! I like your suggestion of a male vocal as I think this would put an interesting twist on the theme of the lyrics. I will send ChamberZ an invite Please could you send me the seps when you have time. Regards Mark
The background harmonies are outstanding :o) Imho, I think it will be hard to integrate vocals because this piece wasn't written originally as a song. However, with a little bit re-arranging and changes in vocal inflection during the verses, these things could help transform the project. The trick would be to change the 'form' of verse words so that they undergo different distinctions of emotion / mood / tension to add 'edge' rather than have the same verse melody 'tone' preventing the listener from being 'pulled in' to the song in the same way that inflection does. I hope this makes some sort of sense. It'll be really interesting to see a rabbit being pulled out of the hat - as I'm sure it will. It's early days :o)
Hey Folks...If im going to fill up that part im going to need some more lyrics....I can do my best on my own or if someone else wants to provide them that would be good also....
Unless of course you just want me to repeat some of the other lyrics...Not sure what the aim is.
Hey Nate Thanks for getting in touch.... I'm happy for you to do what you feel comfortable with. The general theme was of someone not being able to tell someone close that they love them. I think the duet suggests that this is a two way thing which is interesting. If you can come up with something appropriate then feel free....... Is that ok with you? Mark
At what point were you envisioning the vocal to come in? Right after the guitar solo?
After the guitar solo comes a chorus for 8 bars ``I can dream etc which I think might work well as a quieter vocal section. The next verse comes in at about 02.40 and then there is a final chorus. Hope this helps.. Mark
