I have removed the distorted guitar from the verses, so now it doesn't come in until 1:50. I have kept the solo and the bit that goes on top of the vocals at the end.
That's sounding very good to me - there are still a few places where the vox are overpowered a bit (I understand that's the intention at the solo however)
Well, the guitar solo has to be fairly loud, otherwise it would sound wimpy, but it is true the vocals are now buried below the other instruments in some parts of the song. The problem is I don't have Multor's backing track and your vocals separately so I can't adjust the levels. After adding two guitars, drums, and bass the accompaniment is obviously rather overwhelming but unless Multor makes the seps available there isn't really much I can do about it.
I can tell you're the kind of musician/engineer who won't be needing a wet version, so I'm posting a dead-dry version (only some light noise gating and peak limiting). Keep in mind that Multor essentially manufactured the echoed "choruses" from samples of the verse - which only he has. Hope this helps! Should be up soon...
Actually, I could get your vocals from the project that is already published but I still can't get rid of it in the backing track. It would be a pain to match the effects of the two recordings and it also means I can't remove the vocals during the guitar solo. I have already spent a lot of time on this project and I am reluctant to keep making incremental improvements.
I like it also. If you can publish the separate tracks so I can try a final mix with my latest version. +
I have uploaded the clean and distorted guitar seps, and deleted the old versions.
