Great work Pete. Fits perfectly. But .... as a relative newcomer here ... I know everyone makes a fuss about sync-tones and I agree that they should be used whenever possible. The 'but' is that those sync tones need to be consistent to the project. The sync you have used on this is not related in any way to the other ones in the project. Just a cautionary note for future, my friend.

Ok thanks for the feedback James. Sorry if it made things difficult for you. I could always upload the sep again with a similar sync tone to the ones already used on the song. I noticed some seps didn't have any sync tones and some do and I just used one that I had been using. Now when I look back at some of the seps I notice that the sync tone is different to the one that I used. So, in future is it best that I first check to see if another sync tone has already been used and if so, use it again. If no sync tone has been used at all I gather I can start by using one of my own choice. regards, Peter.

Hi Peter, I'm not in this particular project, but I've worked a lot with James and Susan, so forgive my intrusion. For aligning tracks in time with tracks from other musicians, sync tones are fundamental. They must be the same tone all through the project, and they must be in exact alignment. The best way to get the tone and the alignment is to use a beginning project sep track like a guitar sep (that has a sync), cut off the sync portion, and put a copy of the sync on a seperate track making sure it's exactly aligned. Then record using a track that is aligned to the project sync. When you render (export) the track, make sure the sync track is armed along with your newly recorded track, and hit GO. That way you'll have a track that is aligned with the rest of the project. (There are other ways to do this) The disclaimer; Projects can be done without a sync IF ... everyone starts the recording at the same exact place. It works ... quite often, but when it doesn't, you end up with people like me tearing out hair trying to get tracks aligned. A big problem with the exact-start route is that not all DAWS play well with others in where they begin a song. To find a sync in a project, look in the initial sep files, or in the list of Bed Tracks. Enjoy Kompoz, and nice piano work BTW.
