Thanks and Thank You again!
I absolutely love the fine line between prog and fusion here, you guys rule.
Scott is definitely the fusion master. I think my contributions benefitted from his piece leaving some space for that. I definitely want to get more into fusion - many years ago I used to play more of that style ....been a while. :)
Of course I dig Fusion and Prog a lot but I do enjoy mixing it up as well. Funky grooves, not necessarily complex ...just groove all the way. I also dig some 80?s New Wave styles (Split Enz, Devo, Motels...etc). Love the simplicity but effective pulse of the tune ?Never Say Never? by Romeo Void. https://youtu.be/4x0fPZrPV3M
That tune always cracked me up - used to watch that on MTV when I was a freshman.
Great groove - simple, tight. I remember reading an article about Debra Iyall (sp??) some years back talking about what she'd done after that band.
U R too kind my friend.
Hey Void, I do appreciate the kind words. My man SRIRACHA really gave this tune more personality. I long for a bass player to complete the puzzle. I never want note for note from my ideas...I much prefer someone else?s take on it. .....For example, what SRIRACHA did.
Sorry, I keep mixing up my SRIRACHA?s with non existent SRIRACHI?s...lol
Yeah dude, I dig the 80's grooves. Romeo Void kind of reminds me of Flock Of Seagulls. I was jamming to Casiopea earlier, and was loving their outfits onstage, lol!
I'm the same way on collabs, I'd rather the other musicians do exactly what they feel, instead of try to bend them to my will. Natural sounds much better.
I miss the old MTV, and WWF on Saturday mornings. I recently downloaded the free He-Man video game, and my life was complete, lol.
